Raining moo moo

Today I woke up to Sean calling Mama over the baby monitor. I went in and got him at 6am and brought him back to bed with me. He fell back asleep on me and is such a sweet little snuggly baby. I nodded off again too until I heard Kate calling. We got up and Daddy had everything taken care of for us. Both babies were changed and their morning beverages were prepared. What a treat for Mommy.

I was trying to take care of some business over the telephone and put Sean in his jumparoo and Kate in the recliner with a sippy cup of moo moo. They were in the family room and I was in the office. I heard Kate laughing and was relieved that she was not calling for me and crying. I started becoming concerned though when I heard her really cracking up and as soon as I hung up I went to check on the kids. As I entered the family room I see Kate standing next to Sean as he sits in the jumparoo. She is holding her chocolate milk cup upside down and over his head. She is shaking out the milk and Sean's face, hair and shirt are covered in big dollops of moomoo while she laughs. I could not believe my eyes and before I reprimanded Kate or cleaned off Sean I ran for the video camera. Kate saw me by this time and stopped but I filmed the damage, cleaned up Sean and put Kate in time out hoping that she didn’t notice that I was trying hard not to laugh.

After both naps I decided to take the kids out on a couple of errands. They were both changed and dressed and off we went to the post office. On the way Kate said "poopy Mommy" so after we mailed the letters we came back home. Kate was correct and I am happy that she is letting me know about her diaper status.

We went to Walmart and then came back to Pheasant Ridge. I parked by the swings and took both babies over to the swings. Kate ran up to the big slide first and went down. We headed over to the swings and both kids really enjoyed the ride. Sean was laughing and smiling while I pushed his swing. Kate is quite the daredevil and kept yelling "Big one Mommy" for a bigger push. She enjoyed herself the most when I acted worried and begged her to please be careful. I put Sean in the stroller because he seemed to have had enough and I was pushing Kate. She yelled "Mommy Baby!" and I turned around to find Sean standing in the stroller where he had been strapped in. Kate has actually been very helpful looking out for her brother!

When we finished we ran to Martins to look for seltzer but they were out. I then took the car through the car wash and I will not bring Kate back again. She was so frightened and it was still daylight. I saw my little girl trying to be brave but her bottom lip was out and her jaw was quivering. I held her had and sang twinkle twinkle and she did remain calm. I just don't see her frightened that often and I felt so bad for putting her that-the car wash didn't work properly the first run so I even had to go through twice. Wow I felt mean but I had to get the soap off.
