Yes Yes Yes

A busy day around here! Babies woke up and we all had a nice breakfast together. Kate's choice-pancakes of course. I made some blueberry pancakes for Mommy and Daddy too. Yum! Sean ate well as usual. An egg yolk, yogurt, cheerios on top of his morning formula. When Sean is ready for another bite he opens and shuts his mouth quickly.

We started on some stuff around the house and Kate helped me windex the front door. She loves to help and she kept saying, "clean Mommy". What a beautiful little girl. Sean is walking everywhere and there is improvement every day. He has really good balance and is quite confident and daring. We did some chores and watched some Calliou and then started lunch. Macaroni and Cheese again. Sean loves it and he can eat almost anything it seems so far! The doorbell rang and Daddy answered. It was FedEx. I knew it was coming but Daddy opened the package to find two live lobsters-one was a big boy. He held them out and let Kate touch them before he put them on the island. I was giving Kate a bath by this time in the sink. One of the lobsters jumped and I jumped and I frightened Kate and from then on it was Mommy-lobster-scared...

We had our first call to Poison Control today. I found Sean dining on some of my solid deodorant. The back of the deodorant container said to get emergency treatment or call poison control immediately. All was well though-he didn't eat much and deodorant is not serious. I just was advised to give Sean a drink That is one gray hair for Mommy

After the afternoon nap we put the babies in their swimsuits and put them in the baby pool on the back deck. Daddy also set up the Nemo sprinkler. The kids loved the little pool. They were adorable and had so much fun splashing each other. Sean kept standing up and then plopping down on his butt. Kate started standing too. We went over to the sprinkler and Sean just sat in its spray and played with the grass. Kate and I ran through the sprinkler although it was quite cold. Kate enjoyed running to the sprinkler. Next Daddy surprised us with hot fudge sundaes. It was a real summertime family day. Just beautiful.

Back inside Daddy was still working in his chores and I put on some music. When Elvis' Are You Lonesome tonight" came on, Kate put her head on me and made sad sounds. I changed the music and went in to help Chris. Kate came in to us sad again and I realized that a sad Joni Mitchell song came on. She has always been so sensitive to music.

We made a run to the grocery store and asked Kate 'What does Daddy say?" She replied, "No No NO"
"What does Katie say?" Kate said "Yes, Yes, Yes'

Yes is her new word and she says it perfectly. I can't wait to hear what Sean has to say!
