Welcome Home Dad!

My family was waiting for me as I pulled up the drive and it was beautiful. As I turned into the drive I saw my boy beaming with a fantastic smile and Kate was dressed in a gorgeous spring dress that she was obviously proud to show her daddy. I didn’t even get out of the car before she came running over to my door for a greeting crying out for her daddy. Mom took the boy inside but he was very happy to see me as well. Hard to beat a good greeting from those two. I spent a while outside with the girl and we had a little fun running around the yard. We were soon joined by the boy and his Mom for a walk around the house. Once we went inside the joy turned to misery. Both babies were in pretty bad shape, but they eventually came around. Michelle sang the theme song for a children’s show called Calliou(sp?) and Kate joined in, except that Kate likes to whisper the words when it is her turn to sing. So there she is whisper singing with a big smile on her face in between huge spoonfuls of macaroni. What a beauty! Meanwhile the boy is steadily eating his Cheerios and mushed up bananas. He is very content when Kate is happy, but when she starts getting upset, he is not very far behind. He is very sensitive to her and she loves to make him smile. I can’t wait to see how their relationship matures over the years.
