There were a lot of naps in our house today but there was never a time when both babies were asleep at the same time. It is most unusual, but Kate took a morning nap and an afternoon nap. That is typical for Sean still and he pretty much kept his usual schedule but Kate's afternoon nap was delayed a bit because of that morning snooze. Mommy was looking forward to some shuteye while the babies dozed but she was out of luck. Both babies were very crabby after their afternoon naps.
Daredevil Sean is at it again. He opened the bottom drawer in a large bookshelf and then climbed up onto it so that he could reach books on a higher shelf. He also managed to get his hands on a glass candle. In the living room he stood on a plastic container that holds blocks so he could have better access to the window cords. He is busy and he is fast and he is daring and he is so cute!
Yesterday Sean ate more than I have ever seen a baby eat. Tonya, Bradon, Dawson and Derrick came over and before they arrived I fed Sean two containers of baby food and 6 ounces of formula. At Alleyoops diner he ate macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes and ice cream. Back home again he had more formula. Kate ate nothing this entire time!
I borrowed a book on kids that don't eat. We have to get Kate motivated to eat and try a variety of food. We took a gate down that leads to the front door and both babies are obsessed with the area since they never had access to it before. They play with the shade and with the dried flowers in the vase. I hope Sean doesn't get a grip on the gate. I think Sean would win!
Kate is becoming quite a Mommy with her little doll. She changed its poopy diapers today and she also out the doll down for a nap-it is so adorable. She is so sweet and loving to her little doll. She read her books out loud to herself while she waited for Daddy to get home from the store. I could hear her and understand everything she was saying. We still have the Happy Birthday sign hanging up and her eye level and she can pick out almost all of the letters. She loves to tickle the baby and makes him laugh real belly laughs-so precious. She also likes to cut him off when he is walking and getting too much attention from Mom and Dad.
