Blueberry pancakes for breakfast. Kate ate several pancakes but preferred the ones light on blueberries. She is really eating well now. Sean ate his Cheerios and bananas and he is a great eater too. We all had our breakfast together at the table. It is always one of my favorite times of day.
Sean went down for his morning nap and Kate took a long bath. We got her hair washed, her least favorite part of an otherwise enjoyable event. Sean woke up from his nap and I pumped some milk so we could try to give him a bottle. He did end up taking the milk in a sippy cup from me and later in the day he drank out of a cup two more times but only with freshly pumped milk. We are still not close to getting him to take formula. My smart and sweet little guy knows what's good for him.
We played more with the walking today. Kate watched videos on the camera and enjoyed the films of Sean the most. He just makes her laugh so much. It was really sweet watching her react with laughter to her little brother.
Later in the day when Sean took his afternoon nap, Kate and I walked around outside a bit. She picked flowers (dandelions) and we put them in a vase for Daddy. The we brought chalk outside and drew pictures on the driveway while waiting for Daddy to come home. Kate was covered in chalk, she sat in the artwork and was covered in it.
Chris came home and took the family out for a drive and dinner at DQ. We went to Middlebury where there are a lot of Amish. Kate saw horses, cows, donkeys (she does a great HEEHAW) and even alpaca! Sean nursed at DQ and used the rest of the time to nap.
Back home we do a quick dinner for the kids, Daddy does diapers and jammies, I attempt to pump. After drinking her milk, Kate brushes her teeth for a long time knowing it is her only hope for avoiding bed. Hopefully we will all get a good night's sleep tonight. I am afraid that I need one badly!
