Peeeease!!!
The kids were up bright and early this morning. I think Mom and Dad were hoping for a little more shuteye (especially Mom) but what are you going to do. I went out to the range and when I got back we headed out to do some Mother’s Day shopping. In the course of getting ready to go I did a little training with Kate on her Please and Thank You’s. Toddlers are extremely cute saying peeease! And Kate is no exception. She is going to turn into a real begger and now she has been given a means to facilitate her panhandling ways. She is very passionate with her PEEEASE, PEEEASE, PEEEEEASE! Makes it kinda hard to say no. So we tooled around the mall looking for some Mother’s Day jewelry while Kate was loud and boisterous and Sean was clam and serene. The boy ended up having a diaper on the verge of a saturation explosion by the time we made it to a place where he could be maintained. He is so good in public at this point and as great as he is, that is just about how bad Kate is getting. If she is at all tired and hungry, forget about it. She will scream and cry without any embarrassment whatsoever (for her anyway). But she is so beautiful, you can’t get riled at her. She has taken to hugging and squeezing the boy with love to the point that it is painful for him, which led to the only time the guy made an ill-tempered expression while we were out.
