I didn't get to post last night since we were so tired and we were doing a few things around the house. I just wanted to post about my Mother's Day since it was so great! We got up and went out to an early breakfast with Jason and Beth. The kids did great at the restaurant. Sean gobbled up an egg yolk and Kate had pancakes (her favorite) and pineapple. Sean also stood for a log time and really wanted to walk while at the restaurant. We returned home and Chris did a lot of handyman things around the house.
Kate and Sean and Chris all gave me beautiful cards and Chris gave me beautiful diamond earrings that match my Christmas earrings. We played with the kids a lot while trying to get things done.
Later in the day we drove over the the Thai restaurant in So Bend and picked up some take out food for dinner. Yum! Sean is so easy going and just looks out the window and at Kate while driving. Kate names everything she sees and she tells Dad to get going by shouting "Do it Daddy Do it!"
I over-trained Kate to answer "Big Apple" when I ask her what they call NYC. Now whenever I ask her a question with purpose she responds "Big Apple" Man am I in trouble! I'd better get this kid counting and saying the alphabet soon or else!
We enjoyed or dinner. Sean ate an entire avocado, a half of banana and cheerios then had formula. Kate had macaroni and cheese. Afterwards we had a little cake. Kate said "Happy" and so we put candles in the cake and sang happy birthday and let her blow out the candles. Twice!
After dinner we prepared them for bed and I got my usual "Mama Coocoo" comments from Kate as we made our funny face at each other as Daddy carried her to bed.
Our Sean was moved into his own room and spent his first night without Mommy and Daddy. I hated moving him but I think he agreed with him. It is the first night that he slept through the entire night. He woke up at 6am and didn't seem mad at me at all!
This was my second Mother's Day and it was the best one yet! What a joy to have such beautiful, sweet babies and a wonderful husband!
